In climbing gyms or on cliffs, fixed carabiners are particularly subject to wear as they are used so much. Either by repeated falls at the crux, or because of the angle formed between the first point and the belayer. The BE SMITH carabiner is as easy to clip as a classic carabiner thanks to its wire gate. However, its wear will be largely limited thanks to its steel body. Finally, taking up slack is made easier and it is impossible for the carabiner to turn around in its express strap.
