Planet friendly
BEAL has always behaved as a responsible player in the Outdoor market. Never overstocking, never wasting, BEAL has never drawn on the Earth's resources beyond the needs expressed by its customers.
We believe in planet
Since 1997, through our reforestation initiative in Madagascar, we have planted over 2 million trees. For every dynamic rope sold, a tree is planted. It's our way of giving back to the planet.
In France, our new headquarters and production site have been entirely designed to reduce our carbon footprint. We have installed photovoltaic panels for clean energy and implemented an innovative waste management system, transforming non-recyclables into resources through upcycling.
Always at the forefront of sustainability, in 2024, BEAL presents a global innovation with the first low carbon impact ropes in history. The SunRise 9.2 and SunUp 8.4 ropes are made from 100% chemically recycled polyamide. This unique recycling process significantly reduces the carbon footprint.
The Nexis CC yarn used for SunRise and SunUp ropes generates 1.53 kg of CO2 per kg of polyamide 6, compared to 6.97 kg of CO2 for traditional polyamide. This translates into a 78% reduction in carbon footprint! Unlike many recycled products that generate more CO2 than new materials, our Sunrise and Sunup ropes fully respect our ecological commitment.
